Even in today’s world, where several menstrual Hygiene products like sanitary napkins, tampons and menstrual cups are easily available, 88% of Indian women don’t use the most basic form of menstrual protection available in markets. Instead, many use old rags, mud, leaves, or anything they can lay their hands on to collect menstrual blood. Least to say that this causes inconvenience and severe health risks to women and young female adolescents for not having access to sanitary napkins.
Amodini is devoted to giving women the knowledge and support they need to understand their sexual health and take ownership of their reproductive health.
"IF YOU EDUCATE A WOMAN, YOU EDUCATE A NATION"
With the help of our kind donors, Loparex India Pvt Ltd, we went ahead with the objective to educate young adolescent girls on menstruation and menstrual hygiene. CMF organized sessions that were conducted by doctors and distributed free sanitary napkins toward the end.
