Even in today’s world, where several menstrual Hygiene products like sanitary napkins, tampons and menstrual cups are easily available, 88% of Indian women don’t use the most basic form of menstrual protection available in markets. Instead, many use old rags, mud, leaves, or anything they can lay their hands on to collect menstrual blood. Least to say that this causes inconvenience and severe health risks to women and young female adolescents for not having access to sanitary napkins.
